celebrate the season

hi there!! july is almost over, which means this is my last post for the christmas in july celebration!

as soon as i saw the cottage cutz snowflake doily i knew i wanted to use it on a canvas.  it made the perfect background when spritzed with glimmer mist.  i took the celebrate the season cottage cutz  die and covered it with some black enamel to give it a shiny look.  wrapped a little seam binding on it and here's the finished 6x6 canvas.

have a good weekend and hope you can spend some time getting crafty!

Christmas CUPCAKES!!!!!!

Hello!!  It is Noelle posting today and I am so sorry to have the ugliest pics so far!! LOL
I didn't get the album finished this week!  My plan was a super fun
Christmas album and it just didn't happen!!  This album is so much fun!!  The album flip-outs make standing the album up for a picture a little bit difficult. When I finish the album I will try again :)
Maybe we should just call this a sneak peek?
This album is  not even on the site yet for me to link to!  It should be very soon!  The girls are busy cutting cupcake album kits *swoon* This is the best album we carry so far!!
Above that glare is from the acetate cover. Below you can see I didn't attach the frosting to the cupcake, I decided to use it as a page.
I also didn't attach the cupcake liner and used it as a page too!
Here is the back closed.
And open!  There are 6 pages and with all the frosting used as pages I am not sure these rings are going to be big enough.  One I know I will cover them with tied pieces of ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Penguin with Lights

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I have the treat box I gave to my girls at our card class in July.

I love this penguin with Lights die from Cottage Cutz that you can get at CC&M.
I used the Square Bag #01 Large and some Stampin Up Christmas paper to decorate.
These would make great Teacher gift bags just add a gift card and some chocolate and your finished. (ribbon too if you like) I opted to leave off the ribbon.
I just love how quick I was able to make this box and decorate it for my card girls. The penguin took the longest to assemble and he wasn't very difficult at all. And.... with his arms not being attached I can see him being used for many different projects in the future. He has such a cute little face! I just love any die that can be used for many different things and this is another one of those I can see a bunch of options.

Have an amazing day,

Dianne

merry & bright

only 10 more days of christmas in july with creative cuts & more!  sometimes when you are making something, simple is just as good as complex!!  i started with square border windows a2 card.  then i stamped some swirls on the edges.  the white cardstock was stamped with unity stamps for the sentiment and tree, which was mounted behind the windows. then the edges were inked, as my motto is "leave no edge uninked!" the finial touch was glimmer mist to give it a little sparkle.

have a good weekend and hope you can spend some time getting crafty!

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas in July continues at Creative Cuts & More! When I first saw this adorable Santa Peeker die by Cottage Cutz, I "pictured" him peeking out of a Polaroid frame. So that's what I decided on for my project today. His beard, mustache and hat are cut from pretty velvet paper, looks beautiful in real life!
His face started out white and I colored it with E00 and E02 Copics then some R20 on his nose and cheeks for a rosy effect. I finished him off with some googly eyes for fun!
You can really get creative in paper piecing these dies and have lots of fun!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for some more Christmas fun!

Penguin Gable Box

Creative Cuts and More is continuing to showcase terrific ideas during
Christmas in July!

Today's project is a Tall Gable Box that I decorated with Cottage Cut dies, Celebrate the Season, and Penguin with Lights.

The box is die cut from Bazzill Red Canvas card stock.  I cut a piece of  Basic Grey Nordic Holiday paper to fit the front of the box and then I put it together with Killer White Tearable tacky tape

Then I added the Cottage Cut Dies to the box.
This would be a fun way to give a gift that the receiver would LOVE!!

I'll have more fun Christmas in July projects this month so check back soon!

Snowflake Bling Card

Happy Monday!

Well another weekend rushed past.
Today I have a Snowflake Bling card for you all.

I found this pattern somewhere online and thought I had to try this out myself.
It was so easy to do. And the affect is amazing. You must try it.
I used the Circle window A2 card with Mat and added an acetate 3 1/2 inch circle (special order for the acetate).
For this card you will need a few different sizes of gems 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, and tear dropped shaped.
This is a fun card for those of us that love snowflakes and gems.

Stamp set: Four the Holidays SU
Embellishments: Bling!, Sizzix Snowflake embossing folder

Enjoy,
Dianne

Gingerbread Sliding Pop Up Card

Hope you are all enjoying the Christmas Ideas...
Today I have a Gingerbread Card idea.

This is one of those surprise cards very simple and then BAM!

Fell in love with this stamp set and had to find the perfect card for it.
The Sliding Pop Up won the rights to have this adorable stamp set on it.
The key to these cards besides adorable stamps is to use great adhesive to keep them together so make sure you are using some of the white tear-able tape. (the red would work on this one too) Just make sure it is adhered together good so when you pull it open it stays together.

My favorite part is when you open the card and you can see the house all glittery and the candies all gelly looking. It looks like a candy house ready to eat! Very time consuming on the drying process but so worth the wait! A select few will get this treat this holiday season...

Another view of the top gingers

Supplies Used:
Stamp set: Gingerbread house SU
Ink: Copic Markers
Embellishments: Dazzling Diamonds, Glossy Accents, Ribbon

Enjoy,
Dianne

winter joy

merry, merry!! christmas in july is flying by so quickly!! gift cards are becoming more and more popular lately and who wants to give a gift card in a boring old envelope?  so i made a card to give a gift card in.

i started with the gift card holder square scallop card-horizontal base in huckleberry pie.  then i added a layer of patterned paper from pebbles.  i used the little snowman and trees from the snowglobe winter accessories cottage cutz dies.  colors used on the snowman include:  island breeze, white, chocolate cream and plum delight.  did a little stamping using snowflakes from the {ippity} kit, gingham christmas greetings, then added the "winter joy" sentiment from unity.

have a good weekend and hope you can spend some time getting crafty!

If you've been joining us lately, you know that the Die Cut Diva's are celebrating Christmas in July!

This one started out white and I distressed it with Ranger Barn Door Distress Ink to match the sentiment and colors in the hexagons.

Hop on over to Creative Cuts and More and check out all of the Winter and Holiday die cuts and boxes available to get a jump start on all of your holiday projects!
