Awareness Ribbon Gifts by Dawn

Hello Everyone Dawn here again,
I am back today with a few more gifts I made from Creative Cuts and More products.
Some of the products I received from Terry at CC&M after winning a blog hop are part of this post and in today's.
These are the gifts I included with the package with the album I took to the cancer center to donate.

Awareness Ribbon A7 Scallop Card - Horizontal is the base I started with here.I used the stamp set from Clear Arts to decorate and also the Ek Success border punch. The paper I used in the window is from CTMH.

Awareness Ribbon Window Square Box #01 in pink here was so easy to decorate.

I used the aggressive Killer White Tear-able Tacky Tape - 1/4" on the backside of the box to cover the ribbon, then just added a little rock crystal glitter. The stretch pink ribbon, small flowers and pearls are from Hobby Lobby.

Monday Inspiration

Have you tried your hand at a window card yet?

I loved picking out 'wallpaper' for the outside of the card to make it look like you were looking out your country kitchen window. The 'siding' is made of shimmery paper I picked up years ago at a specialty scrapbook store. I was happy I waited for the perfect project. I think it's so cool. I rubbed ink along the edges of the 'siding' to make it stand out. And the stamping was fun too. I love coloring stamps in these days.... just ink and an Aqua Painter brush! I cut out a few of the elements to help give the card more character!

Autumn Wonders

Have you tried your hand at a window card yet?

Doodlebug Baby Projects

I'm a big fan of the cute, whimsical designs from Doodlebug... and I love that everything coordinates.

TIP: Did you know that Bazzill Criss Cross textured cardstock is dyed to match Doodlebug products? Takes away all the guesswork and makes coordinating a snap!

My card uses several of the dies from CC&M -- 5-1/4" - Square Window Card #01 - Border Windows, Heart #02 - Large with Layer, and Photo Corner #02 Set, all cut from the Criss Cross textured cardstock -- plus Doodlebug stickers, gemstones, and patterned paper.


The box was created from several CC&M dies also: Tall Gable Box, Heart #02 - Large with Layer, and Photo Corner #02 Set, all cut from the Criss Cross textured cardstock -- along with Doodlebug stickers, gemstones, and patterned paper.

I made two enhancements to the flat cardstock stickers (hippo & turtle) that were used on the projects. I used the EK Success Powder Tool to neutralize the adhesive. This allowed me to put pop-dots on the stickers so they'd have a little dimension. I added more interest to them by adding the self-adhesive jewels. Now they really pop!

Want to add a bit of elegant detail to your next card? Try Paper piercing! You don't need any special tools to do this, a push pin and a mouse pad will work just fine. To pierce the boarder on this card I printed a digital border stamp on plain paper and taped it to my card and poked holes every 1/8" or so. Then I poked a freehand design around the window.

I used the Circle Window A2 Card from Creative Cuts and More for the base. I used Digital stamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and the vintage clip art is from Vintage Image Craft. I hope you have a lovely Easter spending time with friends and family, I know I will!

Teeny bopper album

I just completed an album for my teenage niece. I hope she likes it...(I guess I won't know unless I get it sent to her! ;o)

However, here is a peek at what I have been working on. I combined a 6x6 Album in Acetate and a 6x6 Album in Chipboard to create this one. I also chose to use patterned paper from the DCWV Nonsense Line. The notebook-looking paper is from Making Memories. For the page on the right, I used a Tag Pocket Card with Tag. On the fold-down flap of the tag pocket, I used my Fiskars border punch to add some pizazz. Before adhering the pocket together I used an EK Success Whale of a Punch (circle) to punch a hole on the bottom left of the front of the pocket. On the tag that is inserted in the pocket, I punched a flower with my Fiskars punch and adhered it so it can be seen through the hole. To add some pattern, I used a stamp from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps to stamp the library pocket (front and back) and the insert tag. I outlined the stamped image with a Gelly Roll clear marker to give it just a hint of bling.

This is a view of the back side of that Tag Pocket Card. I not only stamped it with a floral/flourish in Versamark ink, I also stamped a butterfly (yep...from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps) and a small crown image and colored the image in using Stardust Gelly Roll markers. The sentiment is from a rub-on set by Me and My Big Ideas.

The page on the right was done on one of the chipboard pages. I added a Purse A2 Card with Layer die cut from Creative Cuts and More. It's a darling little purse and you can get it with a little tag that can be inserted in the middle. (see picture below) I wanted another little place to "hide" photos and journaling, so I adhered it to the page and it flips open. The flourish stamp is from Stampendous and the flower is a Fiskars punch.

For the last page I have to show you, I used a cute little Coin Purse Card with Clasps. I adhered a small mat and stamped a journaling block. (stamp from Autumn Leaves) I then made a pocket on the chipboard covered album page and that made a place to insert it to keep it in it's place on the page. It just slips out so it can be opened to look at.

Apron Pocket Card

Here's a fun gift for a new homeowner, or someone striking out on their own for the first time. An Apron Pocket A7 Card filled with favorite recipes. Pair it with a cookbook and a real apron and you have a lovely present for a new homeowner, bride or even a neighbor.

Stamps are by Inque Boutique (Recipe set) and the card was dry embossed with a Fiskars texture plate and inked before assembling.

Love Card From Jenny

What a cute card from Jenny! This lovely valentine is an A7 Heart Window Card cut from Bazzill Smoothies in Cherry Splash.


Jenny traced the heart window onto white paper, cut it out and stamped some CDS Florishes on it. She then put it inside the window of the heart. She also stamped and cut out some hearts, then added some Crystal Effects and glitter to them and attached them with glue dots.

Iris Folded Wedding Card

This pretty card was made by our newest permanent Design Team member, Lindsay Weirich. She used the dress cut-out in the card as the frame for the pretty iris folding technique. If you'd like to try it, Lindsay shared the iris pattern on her blog.

The Square Scallop 5 1/4″ Vertical Dress Window Card was cut from Diamond White Bazzill Bling cardstock. For a little extra decoration, Lindsay punched little hearts out from each of the scallops and added a border of pearls.

This card is such a fun and creative option for bridal shower cards, engagement cards, or even invitations.

Adorable Baby Shower Invite

I know it has been a while but I am back.

I am going to be spotlighting some of the great samples I receive from my design team members and customers. Today's is from Deb McNett, a member of the Creative Cuts & More design team.



This sample was made with our Diaper Card with Pin and our A2 Card.

I wanted to spotlight this card because Deb was able to enhance the die cut in ways that we had not thought of. First, Deb mounted the diaper card onto an A2 card. Then she added that cute trim to the diaper by using a pair of decorative shears. Then she made her inner piece by cutting it to fit into the diaper card.
