FIrst Snow

We had our first snow a few weeks back. Unfortunately it has all melted away and we haven't gotten any more snow since then. My son was so excited and couldn't wait to get outside and play in it.

The large black scallop circle, snowflakes, and the tacky tape scallop circle frame can be purchased at Creative Cuts & More. I used My Minds Eye cardstock and bits and pieces of solid cardstock from my stash as well as American Crafts Thickers.


This was my first time playing with CC&M's tacky tape die cuts. Boy are these fun. I took a few pictures as I played with them so you could have a better idea of what they are.

Here, I am peeling the top layer off.


This is what it looks like without the top layer and its ready to stick beads, flock, glitter, etc. to it.

Here I am sprinkling Doodlebug bubblegum glitter over it. The Doodlebug bottles are kinda deceiving. There is A LOT of glitter packed into those little bottles!

Here is the end result. I then peeled off the back layer and placed it down on my layout where I wanted it.

I had so much fun playing with this tacky tape die cut and can't wait to try some more shapes! I bet you would too!

Update: I created this post early, in case I wasn't able to do it this morning. We have snow, plenty to play in. Plenty of ice underneath it to cause the roads to be horrible! But, there is nothing quite like the 'first' snow of the season! Especially for the little ones!

Home SWEET Home...

Hello! This is Chris from Wisconsin enjoying the Christmas Season and hoping you are too! I was in a festive mood and had fun making this card with one of my Christmas gifts (the white Flower Soft).

Todays project uses the Fancy Frame Window Frame card. I used the Gingerbread House Digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. What a FUN image to color!!! I decorated it up with Stickles and Flower Soft...coloring it with Copic Markers.

French Fries Anyone??

Or maybe just some candy?

Did you know you can use your own paper and Creative Cuts and More will custom cut any die you want? I am super lucky, I don't have to send them my paper, I get to just jump in my car and drive over and visit and cut my own French Fry Boxes! I am addicted to My Mind's Eye. This gorgeous paper came from their Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue stack which I bought at Michael's on Black Friday!

I would love to take credit for these fantastic, GORGEOUS flowers, but I can't! I am also lucky enough to be Carla's sister and she whipped them out just as fast as I could grab the supplies. She used ribbon from my stash, paper flowers I got in a swap, they came with the pearls already attached, the maroon flower is a Prima and then Glimmer Mist because everything MUST have some bling or sparkle to it.

The cards were easy as pie. I just used the left over scrap from the French Fry box and stamped an Inkadinkado stamp on another scrap of paper.

Santa's Sleigh

To create Santa's Sleigh, I used the Sleigh Die Cut from Creative Cuts & More, then simply traced it onto a piece of Cosmo Cricket Paper, cut out and adhered the pattern paper to the die cut.

For my image, I stamped the Vintage Santa from the Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods Plate on Caramel card stock, then used the Sepia Technique to add color. To color his beard, I painted on Rock Candy Stickles with an old H20 Brush, then dabbed on some White Pastels, layered onto a Black Panel cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies, then onto my Sleigh.


The Sleigh holds Pretzel Bark in a Cello Bag, tied with Rope.

Here's the recipe

Pretzel Bark

1 cup chopped pretzels

1/3 cup chopped toasted PLANTERS Pecans
1-1/2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

STIR pretzels and nuts into chocolate; spread onto waxed paper-covered baking sheet.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces

Kerry is all about the circles! She even pulled out my older than dirt snowflake punch and got busy with it. Not too shabby for a card that took less than 10 minutes, eh? Well, the inital card took longer but the duplicate card only took 10 minutes, LOVE THAT!!

Trees in the Window card

I love this A2 Four Pane Window die cut card from Creative Cuts and More so much, I actually ordered 55 of these in this gorgeous Ocean Breeze color. It's a beautiful cross between the retired SU Cool Caribbean and Soft Sky colors. I used these for a Christmas card swap earlier this month with a bunch of wonderful ladies. I can't tell you how easy it was to put this card together - gotta love that when you are making tons of Christmas cards, right? :-)

I stamped the trees in different colors and then cut them out. There is a thin line of adhesive (Killer Red Tacky Tape) along the bottom of the windows on the inside of the card. I arranged the trees in the window and attached them to the adhesive. Then I wanted a little snow falling behind the trees, so I stamped some snow on a small sheet of Sahara Sand cardstock and then attached that inside the card.

The sentiment is stamped with the dark blue ink and then cut out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities rectangle die. I needed a pretty border, so I used a scalloped rectangle die and cut out the dark blue mat for the sentiment. I purposely kept this card free from bulky embellishments so they would be easy to mail. Don't you just love quick and easy cards?

Acetate Cake

Happy Sunday! I just finished up my last Christmas gift. Or at least the last one that I can remember I need! Tomorrow I may remember more gifts that need to be made.

I used the 12 Acetate Cake Slice Boxes to form a cake. I used Killer Red Tacky Tape to adhere the boxes together.

I bought a plate, trees and present from the dollar tree. I filled the cake slices with some of my favorite treats. I then twisted some ribbon around the outside and decorated the top! It was quick and easy and I think the recipients are going to love it! I'm definitely going to be keeping a acetate cake set on hand. They'd make great gifts for any occasion.

Christmas Lights

Candy Cane Cocoa!

Hi! My name is Noelle and I am one of the new members of the Creative Cuts & More design team! I am so excited to be here!

I had a blast making these Mug cards! The smaller rhinestones are from the Rhinestone & Pearl Bling Kit which a absolutely ADORE! I was wishing I had one card in red so I could use the pearls too! I used the Killer Red Tape to close the card.

The stamps are by Inkadinkado and Stampendous. The embossing powder is also by Stampendous.

Fuzzy Snowman scene card

Don't you just love these A2 Four Pane Window cards from Creative Cuts and More? I've had a blast creating a bunch of cards with these. Here is my latest creation with a Fuzzy Snowman scene.

The A2 Four Pane Window card is die cut from Carob Cream Bazzill Smoothies cardstock, and I stamped some white snow all over the front. The snowman is a die cut from Creative Cuts and More as well, and I covered it with glue and then smooshed some Polar White Flower Soft into the glue until I had him covered, except for the hat. I used a black copic marker to color in the hat. After the glue was dry and the Flower Soft was set, I squirted on some black stickles for the eyes and the buttons. The mouth was done with a tiny sharpie marker.

See the little twigs for the snowman's arms? I found a scrap piece of brown cardstock and just freehandedly cut out the twigs. I used more scrap pieces of cardstock to create the little sign next to the snowman. :-)

The wreath was colored with copic markers and then dotted with some red stickles. I used a clear stickles on the torn paper down below for the snow drifts, and I created some icicles across the top of the card with the same clear stickles. Lots of waiting around for things to dry, but it was worth it. :-)

Nothing beats a warm cup of cocoa or hot steaming cup of coffee {a nice holiday blend is my personal favorite} this time of year. What better way to tell a friend how much they mean to you buy sending them this festive Mug Card this holiday season!

You can make this foam by adding equal parts of salt, flour and water to a bowl and mix. Spread it along the top of the card and let it dry...it's that easy!

Pretty Decorations

Are you ready for Christmas? haha...I'm sure not! One thing I struggle with is making a pretty package. I love to wrap, but rarely have the ribbon and bows on hand to make the present look pretty! I put a lot of work into mini albums this year to give as gifts. I wanted to present them in a better way than a gift bag. I decided to make my own boxes to fit the mini albums perfectly in matching paper. I then altered the outside of the box. Here I used some fun felt flowers in Olive and Ruby. I topped it with a Beetle Black Jewel. It was super simple and I feel a lot more impressive than a gift bag.

Holiday Wishes & Seasons Greetings

I get the opportunity to showcase one of my favorite boxes from Creative Cuts & More - they are called Peek A View boxes and are exclusive from CC&M - that's because the center/midsection of the box is acetate and the recipient gets a little glimpse of what's inside. With these CC&M die cuts, cut and scored all you have to do is use a little creativity and some Killer Red Tacky Tape with whatever decoration and embellishments you have on hand.






















Both use “Peek a View” die cut boxes from Creative Cuts & More, decorated with two of my favorite OCL Holiday Releases “Tag You’re It” and “Parka Penguins”. The peek a view box has an acetate middle so the recipient can get a little glimpse of the treats stuffed inside. Both boxes have a white and red theme going on – including the peppermint melt candies stuffed inside. A little coloring with COPICS, some white Flower Soft and “Ice Crystal” Crafty Sparkles glitter really add some dimensionals/pop dots and bling! The first box also uses a couple of border strips using Threading Water border punch. The second box lid and bottom were run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Add some satin ribbon and pom-pom ribbon, a couple of glittered snowflakes, and tags attached to the front finish the projects. It’s real easy peasy to access the goodies stuffed inside – just lift/slide up the top….. Fun huh? Keep in mind that the “Tag You’re It” is a year round set – the sentiments range from Holiday Wishes and Seasons Greetings to Happy Birthday, Sealed with Kisses (that will be a fun one for Valentines or just because), playing Tag You’re It, and Celebrate!!!, With Love, Baked with Love. I hope you’ve enjoyed the samples and ideas for using this versatile set. Same goes for these super cute and easy Peek a View boxes.

Merry Christmas Creative Cuts and More!!

Thanks so much for letting me design for you!! This is the sleigh die cut from Creative Cuts and More. I have seen so many completely different and beautiful styles made with this die. Here I used a Flourishes stamp and LOTS of silver glitter. Too much, maybe? NAAAHHH!!! There's also tinsel, silver bells, SU! silver cord, thin organdy ribbon, and a tin snowflake. I did both sides identically so it looks the same from every angle. I got the gorgeous little balls from M's. I have no idea whatsoever what they are for, but they were irresistible!!! The birds are from M's as well.

Two Tantalizing Warm Projects!

This month, Creative Cuts and More is excited to have several very talented Guest Designers!

Today we are featuring some projects created by the very gifted Amber! Amber is a SAHM to 4 kids. She enjoys working with my hands..be it; sewing, cake decorate, scrapbooking or stamping, she loves them all!

Here are a few more creations Amber made using Creative Cuts & More die cuts.

She made this adorable block card a week ago for the IC207 challenge on SCS.

Amber used Tweet Winter Wishes from Our Craft Lounge along with their Crafty Fluff on some of the images. And embossed snowflakes with Iridescent Ice on the background of some of the panels. Used Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits to blend. The snowman’s hands are popped up and so is the bird skating on the bird bath. The earmuffs/hat/scarf/mittens is also on dimensions.


For her second project, she created this adorable little sleigh, also from Creative Cuts & More. Amber embossed the poinsettia from Blessed Christmas by Our Daily Bread in gold over the entire sleigh. Added adhesive to the side/middle piece and put it together and there was her sleigh! See how easy that was? Now she has a beautiful festive center piece for her table. (She filled it with Mint Truffle Kisses but was sad to say they didn’t last long!)

Just think of the different ways you could decorate and fill this sleigh. The possibilities are endless.

Winter Housewarming Gift

A new friend, a new home....

I had to use this cool Square Bag #01 from Creative Cuts & More.

It's the perfect size for my new Papertrey Ink stamp set.

There are two sizes to choose from. I used the largest one here that measures

3-1/4” wide by 4-3/4” high with handles (3-1/4” high without handles) x 1-1/2” deep.

This little cutie already has a new home. I actually gave it away the DAY I made it. 

That is unheard of for me.

I made some yummy Festive Winter Bark with white chocolate, pretzels, Rice Crispies and Heath bits. I filled a little glassine bag and tucked it inside. My new friend was thrilled and it made my day to give it to her.
