Coffin Box ~ Spooky with a touch of Elegance!

Hi everyone, Fern here with today's spooky reveal!!  With Halloween just around the corner I wanted to share with you this cute project I've made using the Creative Cuts & More Coffin Box .. I've embossed it with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder and then went over it with Tim Holtz Pumas Stone Distressing Ink.   I decorated it with leftovers in my stash from scrapbooking kits I have received in the past ..

Here it is opened...

These are so easy to assemble since they already come scored..  And the best thing to hold them together is Creative Cuts & More Killer White or Red Tacky Tape.  After you fold and tape the sides you are ready to decorate.. You can do a little or a lot that's totally up to you...   When that's done.. just add candy and now you have a cute treat favor box that any goblin would love!!!

Now why don't you  head on over to Creative Cuts & More where you can save a lot of time by using their die cuts to create your projects. They carry Die Cut Shapes, Hardware and Tags to add to your scrapbook layouts or card making projects. They also carry wonderful die cut cards with all styles of window openings, die cut bags and boxes, as well as unique 3-D die cuts that can be used for all kinds of occasions.
So what are you waiting for...  Check 'em out!!
Have a great day!
Hugs!!

Vintage Wedding Mini Album ~ Lots of Pics!!

Hi everyone!! Fern here and I want to share with you this Vintage Wedding Mini Album that I made using Creative Cuts & More 6" x 6" Chipboard Album Covers. Added some Tags and Pockets, but will get to those a little later, and bound it together with album rings. Oh, and don't forget some Killer Red Tacky Tape , or if you prefer the Killer White Tear-able Tacky Tape.. It's a must have to put these together...
Okay, I have a lot to show you, so sit back and get ready to be inspired!!! :o)

Here is my front cover... The paper I used is Ella Blue g . c . d . studios and it's an 8" by 8" (48 sheet) paper stack.. I love the colors of this and it's perfect for my wedding photos... Oh, I forgot to tell you, this is "MY" wedding album... Yep, the photos are of me and my husband back in 1977.. so don't laugh!!!
I've made 3 or 4 of these albums and given them away, I wanted to make one for me and I wanted it to be special and something I can hand down after we are gone..

Here we have (2) Tag #04 in Chocolately Chip - SU Smooth. I embossed these with my cuttlebug. You can also order these with a layer of a different color...

Here I used (3) Tag Card (in Espresso Brown - SU Smooth) with Two Tags (in Blueberry Pie - Bazzill Smoothies) I embossed the top layer with my cuttlebug embossing folder and attached all three together.. The back of the first one to the front of another one.. the back of the second one with the front of the third one... Before I attached them together I added lace between the layers.. and then just attached the last one to my album... Added the layers and then my photos..
Notice the pearl knob on top.. this unscrews and lets the pages drop down... see next photos...

Knob unscrewed..

This is the first Tag Card with layers...

Second Tag Card with Layers

And this is the third or last Tag Card with Layers...

This is a 6" x 6" acetate page. I covered it with a Hambly Screen Print and then I attached the Slash Pocket with Tag #05 Pocket is in Chocolately Chip -SU Smooth and the tag is in Powder Blue - Bazzill Canvas. I also embossed the front of this with my cuttlebug embossing folder...

Here is the tag pulled out... I did a lot of distressing on this album and tags with Tim Holtz Distressing Inks..

The back side of the tag..

The back side of the acetate page is identical as the front.. The Slash Pocket with Tag #05 Pocket is in Chocolately Chip -SU Smooth and the tag is in Powder Blue - Bazzill Canvas. I also embossed the front of this with my cuttlebug embossing folder...

Tag pulled out...

Back side of the tag...

Miscellaneous bling and embellies...

Here is a chipboard pull out...

Back side of chipboard...

Here I made a small flip up held down with the paper clip fastened on top...

Here is the back side of the flip up page... Me and My Dad!!!

Page under the flip up page... This is also a pocket page... If you look closely under the paper clip you can see a tag... I have not journaled on this yet, but I will put some personal family history on it so when this little mini passes down through the years, it won't be a mystery!!! Something I wished my Grandmother would have done for me....

Used a lot of lace on this page, some flowers and bling... Also if you untie the bow you can lift this up and see more photos...

Just so you know.. the reason I am looking at my dear sweet husband like I am, is because I gave him strict orders he better not smash the cake in my face.... And as you can see he didn't!!!! :o)

More embellies and bling...

And here is the last page... Added some flowers, doily, feather, and bling!

Now here on the back, I am going to sign it and date it in my own handwriting, even though I don't like my handwriting. Years from now I think it will mean a lot if I do that....

Well, that's all I got for you today!!!
I hope I've inspired you just a little to go check out the goodies over at Creative Cuts & More!! If you do want to make a mini album, I found it easier for me to find the papers I want to use first. When you've done that just sit down with your paper and shop away... And don't forget to get some Killer Red Tacky Tape or Killer White Tear-able Tacky Tape and some Album Rings!!!
Be sure and check back tomorrow to see more inspiration from the Die Cut Divas!!
Have a wonderful day!!!

Layout Using Creative Cuts And More - Hinge No. 04

Good Monday morning everyone!!! Fern here, and I want to show you how I used just one of the many die cuts you can get from Creative Cuts & More... I am using the Hinge #04 in Whitestone - Neenah Smooth on this cute layout of little Grandson Colten.. (My little Bug Boy... Grandma just better not find any of these in her house!!! lol) I embossed the hinges with my cuttlebug Distressed Striped Embossing Folder and then I rubbed some Mememto Rich Cocoa Ink over it.. I love the way they turned out..

You can also see that I added some tiny copper brads.. Which I should add, the holes were already there for me.. How easy is that!!
See how large they are, the perfect size for a layout.

You might be surprised on how many things you can find over at Creative Cuts & More that can also be used on your scrapbook layouts..
So, what are you waiting for.. go check it out! :o)
Thanks for dropping by!
Have a great day!

Quick and easy Father's Day Card.

Hi everyone, Fern here with a Father's Day Card I made using the A2 Card and Large Scallop Oval Frame #2, both in the Copper - Stardream Metallics from Creative Cuts & More..   The colors are perfect for the masculine look I was looking for on my Dad's card..  I found this perfect "man" paper in my scraps and punched the corners with a decorative punch so that the beautiful copper color would show through.. Then I layered it over the A2 Card front, and added a black jewel in each corner...   The chipboard Cowboy is from Heart of Texas Studio and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  The sentiment is from SU and stamped with VersaMark and then embossed with black embossing powder..  I used my paper piercing tool to punch a tiny hole in each of the scallops around the Large Scallop Oval Frame..  Everything is held together with Killer Red Tacky Tape!!
It's quick and easy when you have most of it already cut and scored for you...  All you have to do is personalize it!!
I hope that maybe I've inspired you to go check out Creative Cuts & More...  And while you're there check out the beautiful assortment of butterflies Terry has put together for you!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Texas Wildflower Accordion Mini Album in Tin

Hello everyone, Fern here and today I have a little Rectangle Accordion Mini Album with Layers & Tin Set from Creative Cuts & More that I want to show you.. I am using the Pomegranate Splash Bazzill Smoothies Cardstock for the mini album and the layers are in Almond Cream Bazzill Smoothies Cardstock.
My DIL loves to look for wildflowers in the spring here in Texas, and her daughter, my granddaughter, is turning out to be just like her mother.. So Grandma decided to make DGD Savannah this little accordion mini album of some of the Texas Wildflowers so she can carry it with her when they are out looking at the flowers...
Here's the front cover, remember it's for a 5 1/2 year old!! I covered it with some scrap paper and added a 3-D sticker of the little fairies sitting on flowers. I printed the title off of the computer and punched it out with the SU small oval punch..

Bluebonnets are the State Flower and are one of their favorites.. and Indian Paintbrushes are right up there on the top of their list, too.. I decided to add the ribbon so she can keep the album closed, and it also helps her practice tying the bow...

Here it is untied...

Here are the front pages of the album...

Here are the back pages...

All pictures were printed off of the computer..

I just know Savannah will loooove this... I hope you enjoyed looking at it as well!!

These little mini albums come in so many different colors and you can get the layers in any color also.. They make wonderful little gifts, and you know the end of school is approaching fast... This would make a perfect gift for any Teacher. Go check them out over at Creative Cuts & More and while you're there be sure and check out the new die cuts Terry is adding daily... If you find something you like, be sure and let Terry know that I sent you and please use Code CC&M10Fern..
Happy Shopping!!!
Hugs!
