Peace on Earth Sleigh

Hello, everyone, it's Darsie! I have created an elegant centerpiece for my Christmas table using the 3D Sleigh die cut! This was surprisingly easy to make using glitter paper, and some sparkly greenery and poinsettias for accents! I just love how you can order whatever color paper you want for the die cut, then all you have to do is tape it together with Killer White Tearable Tacky Tape! Then the sky is the limit in decorations for it!

I had my card party play with the sleighs and they created some of the most beautiful sleighs I've seen! I even had one lady decorate hers with gumdrops and candy canes!! Once you're done decorating, you can fill this little sleigh with just about anything: cookies, candies, small packages or greenery like I did!!

Candy Cane Sleigh

Did you all have a great Thanksgiving? It's so hard to believe that Christmas is now less than a month away! Wow!

I ordered this 3-D sleigh die cut from Creative Cuts and More, stamped on it with a candy cane stamp using Versamark, and filled it with mini candy canes from Walmart. There is a good double handful of candy canes in this sleigh, which is plenty of room for your holiday candies. Wouldn't it be fun to have several of these around your living room for your friends and family to help themselves?

Santa's Sleigh

To create Santa's Sleigh, I used the Sleigh Die Cut from Creative Cuts & More, then simply traced it onto a piece of Cosmo Cricket Paper, cut out and adhered the pattern paper to the die cut.

For my image, I stamped the Vintage Santa from the Artistic Outpost Snowy Woods Plate on Caramel card stock, then used the Sepia Technique to add color. To color his beard, I painted on Rock Candy Stickles with an old H20 Brush, then dabbed on some White Pastels, layered onto a Black Panel cut with Spellbinders Circle Dies, then onto my Sleigh.


The Sleigh holds Pretzel Bark in a Cello Bag, tied with Rope.

Here's the recipe

Pretzel Bark

1 cup chopped pretzels

1/3 cup chopped toasted PLANTERS Pecans
1-1/2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

STIR pretzels and nuts into chocolate; spread onto waxed paper-covered baking sheet.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces

Snowflake Sleigh

Here's another Christmas project for you today. :-) I used the Sleigh from Creative Cuts and More and stamped snowflakes all over it with a white craft ink. After the white ink dried, I dotted some of the snowflakes with some stickles glitter glue, and set it aside to dry. It was a snap to assemble this sleigh using the Killer Red Tacky Tape available from Creative Cuts and More. The hard part is deciding what to fill the sleigh with. I filled this one with some silver wrapped Hershey's Nuggets - mmmmmmmm. :-)

These would make great snack holders when you host Christmas in your home. Stamp and assemble four or five of these sleighs, fill them with little snacks or candies, and place these around your home. What guest wouldn't love to find a sleigh full of yummy snacks??
