Grow Your Wings

Hi All! It's Nora Anne here today sharing a cute little gift card holder with you! That's my plan anyway, to use it as a gift card holder by attaching the gift card to the tag and writing a message on the back, but it can be used as a gift tag, or a hidden journaling tag on a scrapbook page as well.

(sorry for the bad photos, I don't have my good camera right now)

I started with the Scallop Circle-11 1/2" (see it's not just for scrapbook layouts!)  I cut it in half.

Then folded it in to the center. Put some tape along the bottom and the flap to close the bottom and add your embellishments. Easy peasy! and you can make two with each Scallop Circle! A quick and easy project that comes out super cute!
Thanks for stopping by today! HAPPY SHOPPING!

Hi! It's Nora Anne posting today and I have a layout to share with you. This is quite a surprise since I never scrapbook anymore! But I had these fun big scallop circles from Creative Cuts and More and they were calling my name! The best thing is they are available in SO MANY colors and textures! I decided to layer two here and I positioned them "off the page" for a different look.

So before you shut that browser, hop on over to Creative Cuts and More and grab some for yourself!

This Scallop Circle is the perfect addition to any layout and Creative Cuts and More has it in SO MANY colors and types of cardstock! You can stamp on it, like I did, or leave it blank, cut it in half for a 2 page spread, emboss on it, ink it, the possibilities are endless!!!
If you haven't been by the store lately, you have to check out the new assortments! They are to "die" for!
Enough of my corny jokes! I'll see you right here next Thursday!

4th of July Layout

Hello! Kayla here sharing a layout I recently created! Yes, I know, I am just now getting to my 4th of July pictures from last year! Eek! I didn't have but a couple scraps of 4th of July paper, so I decided to just use red, white and blue cardstock.
I used the Scallop Circle, rhinestones,Filigree rectangle and a page from the Mix & Match album. The sticker and jellishment are from Doodlebug.
I used the rhinestones in place of brads on the sticker and in the center of the jellishment.
I love the little rhinestones in the scalloped edge! The red piece, its a page from the Mix & Match album. I love the fun edges and they make great additions to layout and mats for photos!

Here is another layout using a Mix & Match album page to mat the photos.

Layout Fun

Kayla here, to share another layout! On this layout I used the Large Scallop Circle, small scallop circle frame, Doodlebug Sugar Coating Glitter, and the Doodlebug Lilac Jewels.

Here is a close up of the small scallop circle frame which was cut from tacky tape and I used Doodlebug Sugar Coating Glitter on. It was the perfect base for my flower!

These two cuties are my cousins girls. My son has been asking for them daily, wondering when they are going to come and visit. We only get to see them once a year, which just is not enough!

Back to the layout, I had so much fun making that flower. I think the glittery scallop circle frame makes a fabulous base! I really want to make more of these flowers now!

Other products used on my layout: Butterfly (not sure of the brand, I got it from the Dollar Tree), Bazzill cardstock (from CC&M), Basic Grey Paper, American Crafts Thickers, DMC Floss, Prima Flowers, Unknown Flowers, Colorbox Chalk Ink.

Snow Layout

Hopefully this is greeting you on a sunny day! I know a lot of you have had more than your fair share of snow this year. We, unfortunately, here in Oregon haven't gotten very much at all!
My son got so excited the first morning he woke up to snow. He could barely wait to go outside and play in it. You can tell by his expression he was just too excited to pose for a nice picture.

Supplies used: Doodlebug Bubble Gum Glitter, Tacky Tape Circle, Scallop Frame, Circle Scallop, Snowflake #01 Petite, My Minds Eye Paper, American Crafts Thickers, Unknown Scraps

This was my first time playing with Tacky Tape die cuts and glitter. Boy was it fun! I wanted to give a close up of the frame.

In case your wondering what the tacky tape die cuts are like and how you use them I took pictures along the way.

First, this is what it looks like.

I peeled off one side and put it in a bowl.

I then sprinkled the glitter over it and patted it down to make sure it was on there good.

I then shook the excess glitter off and peeled off the back and stuck it where I wanted it.
It was as simple as that! The Doodlebug glitter bottles don't look all that big, but my container still looks new after using this. there is a TON of glitter in them!

Scrapbook Layout

Hey everyone! It's Kayla here to share another one of my layouts with you. This layout has a lot of my favorites: brown, distressing, sewing and a large scalloped circle. I'm VERY addicted to these large Scallop Circles, they are so much fun!

Here I used the Scallop Circle in Java I distressed the edges some and really like how it came out.

Now for the flower. This was the Flower #06 - Small in Java and the lighter brown color that slips my mind at the moment. I inked the edges using my Colorbox Chalk Eye Dark Brown ink pad. I then covered them with Ranger Crackle Accents. Once they were completely dry I went over the top of them with a Creamy Brown Colorbox Chalk ink to take the shine away from the crackle medium. The crackle medium made them curl up a bit, which was perfect!

I tried a 'new to me' fun technique of writing on the photo using my UniBall Signo pen. I also did lots of sewing.

Other items used: Crate Paper and Die Cuts, American Crafts Thickers and unknown brad and scraps of paper.
Thats it for me today! I hope you were inspired to get crafting! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you check back soon!

Its the Little Things Layout

Today I have a layout to share with you!
I have gotten quite hooked on these large scalloped circles. I found the hinges to be quite fun to play with too! On another project, I inked them then used crackle medium over them for a really cool look! Then there are the flowers. I don't believe I will ever have enough of these flowers! I love their shape and how well they layer!

Here is a little tip: The pieces of the scalloped circle that went over the edge and I cut off, work perfect for cards!
