halloween treats

howdy!! it's almost halloween, can you believe it? me either. so i decided to make a little halloween treat box. because it will come in handy very soon!!

i started with a square bag #01 large in white. then i inked it up with some rusty hinge distress ink. i added some alternating patterned paper on the front of the box (mostly because i love the orange and white polka dots!) i added a few stars from a cool distressed star stamp from unity to the patterned paper. then stamped some pumpkins and the sentiment (both from studio g) on a little half cut out. attached it with the tiny attacher to some muslin that i had inked up. then mounted it with foam tape to the box. added a little twine and more muslin at the top and viola!!

have a good weekend and hope you can spend some time getting crafty!

Penguin with Lights

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I have the treat box I gave to my girls at our card class in July.

I love this penguin with Lights die from Cottage Cutz that you can get at CC&M.
I used the Square Bag #01 Large and some Stampin Up Christmas paper to decorate.
These would make great Teacher gift bags just add a gift card and some chocolate and your finished. (ribbon too if you like) I opted to leave off the ribbon.
I just love how quick I was able to make this box and decorate it for my card girls. The penguin took the longest to assemble and he wasn't very difficult at all. And.... with his arms not being attached I can see him being used for many different projects in the future. He has such a cute little face! I just love any die that can be used for many different things and this is another one of those I can see a bunch of options.

Have an amazing day,

Dianne

Dieting, Schmieting!!!

Hi all!
Becky here today to share a little project I made for my new work-out buddy! She's trying to lose a bunch of weight before a big speech she's giving in April & I thought this little bag of fun would make her smile!

I used the Large Square Bag #1 cut in Flinstone Bazzill Smoothies cardstock (swatch not up yet), adhered a vintage pin-up image to the front; added some fun yellow measuring tape twill around the box & handle & pinned a Small Tag to it.

Inside, I put an energy bar, some Crystal Light powders, a measuring tape & some "inspirational" cards to make her smile...
And, here's a glimpse at the little cards...they are just cards from the Becky Higgins 365 Project that I have never gotten around to doing, so I decided to use them elsewhere! But, you could easily create something similar by order a bunch of Rectangle #2 (2x3) cards from CC&M! I stamped some fun images & wrote messages on some of them too.

That's it! Don't forget to join us next month for our Blog Hop on the 16th!
Our team of talented designers is showcasing ALBUMS from Creative Cuts & More!
And, BOTH Kim & I will be working with the same album, the Mix & Match, that we split up & will each give it our own creative spin!
SEE YOU SOON!
