Halloween Fun

Halloween is my FAVORITE time of year!
I love to get out all of my fall decorations & mix them up with a ton of little Halloween TREASURES, like this little mini-album I put together using the 4X4 ALBUM & TAB WRAP COVER in the Stardream Shimmer Metallics RUBY color (which is a very pretty purple-red!) with some fun stickers, stamps & quotes! I have several of these little books all over my house & I love to flip through them now & again!
Creative Cuts & More has so many fun mini-albums to choose from & a plethora of colors to create a fun little book like this! Hope you enjoy it too...

Thanks for looking!
Hope to you tomorrow for the big Autumn Blog Hop!!

Apples in Autumn

I am just loving this fall weather here in TX these days. It was a long time coming, but now we have those wonderful cool mornings and cool evenings to offset the warm afternoons each day. Now's the time for hay rides, apple-picking, pumpkin carving, and watching the leaves change color.

For my creation today, I wanted to use the apple die cut card from Creative Cuts and More and have it shout "autumn." I used the Mono Dies technique from Technique Junkies on the front of this card. The smaller apples are from a Martha Stewart punch, and they coordinate perfectly with all the apple die cuts from Creative Cuts and More.

For the sentiment, I used a small square of kraft cardstock, stamped the sentiment with brown ink, and then stamped Holly's Tattered Background with Versamark ink over the sentiment. That background gives the kraft cardstock a sort of cracked bark, woodsy feel.

Happy Autumn!

Stamps: Autumn Blessings (retired SNSS), Holly's Tattered Background (I Brake for Stamps)

Warm Wishes...

Hi everyone! My project today uses the  Milk Carton with Snowflake #4 Large and Snowflake #4 Small. I had a lot of fun creating this treat box for a friend! Using the color story for the Play Date Cafe Challenge (read below for Lisa's description), I colored my bear with Copic Markers, and luckily found designer paper with both blues incorporated in it to use!

Lisa said "Creative Cuts & More is the Sponsor for this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge. Grab your stamps and play along on the PDCC Blog***.  The winner of this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge will receive this FAB Holiday Treats Apron Kit, courtesy of Creative Cuts & More!"

A sticky situation!!

Hello!  It's Noelle posting today!  I think Fall is finally coming so that means no more yard work and more scrappin' time!  I am in love with mini albums!  It is my new obsession!  Now there is an easier way to put them together!  Have you seen this??  It's Killer White Tear-able Tacky Tape - 1/4"  IT ROCKS!!!  I am using it like I used to use my ATG gun!  It is SO CHEAP!  At only 11 cents a yard you can use it all day long!  It's HUGE!
I really love this Mix and Match Album!
I love that there are 4 different pages to choose from.
I love the Tag Trio #1!  They are perfect for journaling in these coffee table books!
I also really love this Antique Label!
I think the covers in clear heavy acetate make the album even more fun!  Makes the picture taking a little harder though!  :)  The journaling is just about how she looks a lot like ET in her Sissy's hoodie LOL
I copied this album in boy colors for Terry to use on her Grandson too.  Because there are no pictures I am just showing the cover.  You may remember it from a LONG time ago but there was no ribbon and all I did was the covers back then  LOL  These albums are so fun and quick to make.  Plus people hardly notice the dust on the coffee table with all the albums to look at :-)
Happy Scrapbooking!

LYNN STEVENS - BOXES

Hello Everyone - This is Chris Dickinson here! I took the month of September off and it is taking me some time to get back into the swing of things here. September, we had the VERY talented Lynn Stevens as our Guest Designer, and I feel as if I failed her! I want to apologize to her for not having this posted last month.

Check out this HAUNTING project created by Lynn! WOW! Here are the details from Lynn...

What fun I had creating these treat boxes for Halloween. I used the coffin treat box for this. It is so easy to put together. The stamps are from the newest Artistic Outpost Haunted Halloween plate. I used the torn frames technique from the Technique Junkies Newsletter.

For my next project I used the Matchbox Large and spider die cut from Creative Cuts & More
The technique uses Worn Wallpaper from TJ latest newsletter.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Apple of my Eye

It finally feels like fall here in Texas, and I was inspired to create a warm, homespun apple card using this fabulous Apple Window Square Scallop Card from Creative Cuts and More. This card is cut from the gorgeous dark green Ivy Bazzill Canvas cardstock.

To contrast with the dark green cardstock, I chose to stamp a houndstooth background with red ink onto some smooth white cardstock. The background just looked a bit too clean and "white", so I distressed it by sponging some Antique Linen distress ink all over.

How do you like the little pieces of wood on this card? Yes, that is real wood! LOL I found a small bag of wood slices at Walmart in the floral section, and this provides the perfect country feel for my apple card. :-)

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Scroll down to see Becky's project today!

We are thrilled to announce the introduction of Creative Cuts & More's new Killer White Tear-able Tacky Tape.
CC&M is thrilled to introduce this new product to our line of adhesive products. This tape has the same great adhesive quality as our Red Line Tape but it has a white liner and it is tear-able. We are offering it in two widths - 1/4" & 1/2". Wider widths are available by special order. Our tape rolls are a whopping 55 yards long, that is twice the amount of most other rolls. CLICK HERE to see our Killer White Tape products.

For a quick price breakdown... the 1/4" is 11 cents a yard and the 1/2" is 16 cents a yard!

A Sweet 16 Album, Part 1

Hello!
A couple of weeks ago, Terry asked me to design a Birthday mini-album using ANY of the album dies from CC&M as long as it was in acetate! I like working with acetate, but it can be tricky - having to think of what can be seen into the next layer & the placement of your adhesive can drive you mad when planning a page!! But I was up for the challenge! (I may have taken it in a little bit of a different direction that she might have expected though!!)

Today, I am just teasing you with the cover! You will have to check back in a couple of weeks (October 21st to be exact!) in my next Creative Cuts & More post to see more!
Sweet 16 Banner Album
You've heard the saying "a Banner Year?" Well, why not a "Banner Album?" I picked the Banner/Pennant die to work with for this album, but, suprise, surprise - I thought outside of the box & it doesn't open up to a banner! (You'll begin to see just what I mean on the 21st!) Also, sorry about the lighting in the above pix - tried both natural & lamp-lit. Neither really does it justice!

I had 2 cupcakes to work with, so I cut one up & embossed the lower part; Glimmer Misted the top to look like chocolate & gave the candle a little more depth & a glittery flame. Then I stickled here & there on the frosting to add more dimension. (The shopping bag (up on CC&M soon) on the next layer is showing through, but looks like part of the cover!)
The cover without all the layers behind
Above that is a balloon that I Glimmered with a couple layers of color to achieve the funky orange & stickled the 16 on there free-hand.

The top of the banner is just 8x8 patterned paper from DCWV trimmed to size with the word "Sweet" stamped on it in the same hot pink I used on the cupcake. I added some other clear embellishments from my stash (super old Heidi Swapp hearts!) & some great seem binding for the balloon string.
Everything else you see, is on the layers behind the cover! So much fun & quite the mystery as to what you might find on the other pages! Don't be afraid of acetate! Just let your imagination go wild & layer away!! It was really quite fun to pull together!!

And remember, Creative Cuts & More has over 100 new dies,
available in all sorts of colors & several materials! If you are ordering an album, you can get as many pages as you want in all sorts of shapes & sizes too!!

See you soon!

Cute as a Button!

Good Morning!
And welcome to the Creative Cuts and More Blog.  Today I am sharing with you some baby projects.  I designed these recently for the Perfect Pair blog hop combining Creative Cuts and More and Clear and Simple Stamps.  CCM has some really fun products that are just perfect for baby showers and more!

I used the A7 Scallop Card on this one.

I went a little shabby with this ensemble.  Aren't these so cute!!  I used the Diaper Card with Pin, the Baby Shoes, and A7 Fancy Frame Window with Clear and Simple's "Little One" stamp set.

This "Diaper Card" die comes in 2 pieces, pre-cut and pre-scored, the actual diaper and the diaper pin.  When you order make sure you note that you get to select different colors for each one.  It does not come with the inside card.  I decided to make mine a mock baby shower invite.  I covered it with old book paper and inked it up with some brown ink.  I love the lace along the legs.  The button is part of the Clear and Simple "Little One" stamp set.

This is the A7 Fancy Frame Window Card.  It's so much fun to design the inside of the card creatively as well with just a little part peeking through the window.
I used one of the words from the "Little Ones" stamp set to create my background border.  I used the old book paper again.  I fan folded it to create the border.  The buttons are from the stamp set and I colored them with chalk.  The paper for the buttons is Jenni Bowlin.

See the little heart.  You can't tell from the photo, but it is made of velvet paper!!  Yes, Creative Cuts and More sells velvet paper.  It's so cool.  I just used my Spellbinders die to cut it out and inked the edges.

And here's the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
